About
Anthony Saucedo (b. 1996) is a Mexican American painter and object-maker whose practice explores the charged landscape between visible structures and unseen forces. His work stems from a deep personal reckoning with inherited belief systems, the search for truth, and the constant pressures of contemporary life.
His paintings are characterized by rigorous geometric abstraction, dynamic color, and sculptural frames that transform each piece into a metaphysical object. Influenced by the early Russian art movements, mysticism, and the occult, Anthony’s work channels intuition and ritual rather than merely illustrating them.
Having worked intimately as an art handler within major institutions, Anthony's unique perspective integrates the physical mechanics of art with its deeper spiritual dimensions. His art rejects contemporary irony, insisting instead on earned earnestness and a commitment to unearthing his self-authored cosmology. Through precise geometry and a sophisticated interplay of actuality and subtext, Anthony invites viewers into a space where feeling, intuition, and intellectual rigor converge.
Anthony was born and lives in San Diego, CA.He graduated from the California State University of San Marcos with a degree in Art, Media, and Design. Cv
